KAVANGO RIVER LODGE

The Kavango River Lodge
situated in Rundu on the banks of the Okavango River, overlooking Southern
Angola and the surrounding flood plains, offers the visitor travelling through
Namibia's far north-east a revitalizing and comfortable stop-over on the long
journey Windhoek, Botswana, Zimbabwe's Victoria Falls and Zambia.
Equally suitable for people visiting the Kavango Region for business purposes,
the lodge provides a cool, comfortable, peaceful and quiet environment from
which to work.

Accommodation consist of 10 chalets (with two, three or four beds, 33 beds in
total), each with air-conditioning, ceiling fan, linen, television, and
en-suite facilities. Folding beds or mattresses for children are provided upon
request.
In the Kavango Region this is the only lodge where each chalet has a refrigerator stocked with breakfast supplies which is included in the price... and braai packs, cold beer and soft drinks are available at a kiosk - - or traditional country-style meals can be enjoyed in the restaurant with its outstanding view over the river. |

Activities include canoe and fishing trips, sunset cruises on the river and
bird watching. For those who wish to do nothing at all, there are hammocks in
which they can relax and unwind.
Kavango River Lodge offers conference facilities for up to 30 persons. Please note that although the chalets have mosquito-proof screen and are equipped with mosquito repellent devices, guests are advised to take personal anti-malarial precautions before visiting the northern regions.
