La Vallee Tranquille Lodge, is located 75km south of Maltahoehe. Take a rest in one of the 9 spacious double rooms at the lodge, each with bathroom ensuite and private patio and all near the pool. Various activities can be enjoyed, admire a stunning view from the top of the Nanania plateau, hiking through different and fascinating landscapes, enjoy a ride on a local "Donkey-cart" or bird-watching of the many species of the area.
A rich fauna and flora can be observed on the 13000 hectar farm, you will probably encounter kudus, warthogs, ostriches, jackals to name just a few. The rock formations nearby will reveal astonishing surprises to the attentive observers. La Vallee Tranquille will also introduce you to the culture of the Nama people, the songs, the sounds of this particular language, their history.
La Vallee Tranquille is perfectly situated and allows an adapted stop-over on your way to or from interesting destinations such as the Sossusvleid dunes, the Duwisib castle, the wild horses at Aus and the Fish River Canyon.
